Garri Zmudze is recognised for his work advancing longevity science — from early diagnostics and personalised medicine to backing the next generation of biotech and animal health founders.
Business Insider has named Garri Zmudze one of 11 Rising Stars Shaping the Future of Longevity — a recognition of his work as a longevity and biotech investor and cofounder of both LongeVC and AniVC.
The feature highlights how Garri's path into longevity began personally: in 2015, both of his parents were diagnosed with age-related diseases, sparking his commitment to finding accessible solutions in healthy aging and early diagnostics. Born and raised in Latvia, he entered the longevity field by reconnecting with his former high school classmate, fellow Rising Star Alex Zhavoronkov of Insilico Medicine. By 2017, Garri had become an early investor and advisor in Insilico, and in 2020 he cofounded LongeVC to back early-stage longevity and biotech founders.
In 2024, Garri extended that mission to the animal health space, cofounding AniVC — a fund focused on early-stage ventures at the intersection of longevity science and the pet sector.
